In my most recent design leadership role, I had an easily manageable team size of seven. With a strong skew to UI design across the team, I it was essential for me to lean in heavily on the UX research side. This meant frequently running research initiatives while also up-skilling the team and building out a function.
The role of design leadership is constantly evolving. On any given day, I would find myself defining UX strategy, tuning product processes, managing people, facilitating innovation workshops or delivering research summaries.
I strive to strike a balance between advocating for the needs of users and achieving desired commercial outcomes. I approach problem solving with this mindset, using my extensive industry experience and expertise in behavioural science to craft outcome-driven solutions.
By infusing user-centred design principles with a wealth of brand experience, I aim to create products that meet the needs of both users and businesses alike.
